The Commissioning Show 2015
June saw Quicksilva exhibit at The Commissioning Show, an integrated health and care expo held at London’s ExCeL Exhibition Centre.
Q staff embraced the opportunity to talk to NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups from all over the UK and hear first-hand about the challenges they are facing, as well as meeting new suppliers from the Care sector.
Particularly high on the agenda was the Summary Care Record, with HSCIC’s Chairman, Kingsley Manning offering a sneak preview of the future of the SCR programme. This included the news that the SCR would soon be rolled out to Care Home and Domiciliary Care providers, many of whom were at the event and were keen to learn more about Quicksilva’s SCR Spine Mini Service.
The show featured a dedicated ‘GPSoC’ stage, exclusively for suppliers who have recently joined the GPSoC Framework. Q’s Technical Director Gareth Butt spoke on the subject of the London Adapter, a project which proved popular back on the ‘Quicksilva’ stand.
‘Work Hard Play Hard’ is a bit of Quicksilva mantra, and sure enough after a busy day mingling with the great and good of NHS commissioning, the Q Business Development team enjoyed a hard-earned drink in the Exhibitor bar, followed by the best Indian meal London’s Victoria Quay had to offer. As for the rest, well - what goes on tour, stays on tour!
As the Qucksilva stand goes back into storage; sore feet are soaked and the goodie bag gifts are (ahem) fairly distributed among the Q team, all agreed the show was a great success and we look forward to doing it all over again at eHI Live in November.
