Quicksilva Celebrates Achievements with Health Tech’s Finest at EHI Awards 2015

The cream of the crop in healthcare IT gathered to celebrate making the shortlist for the EHI Awards 2015 on Thursday and it was a night to remember.

1st October 2015 – Quicksilva joined colleagues from the London Adapter project team at HSCIC for a night of celebration and merriment at London’s Park Plaza Ballroom for the prestigious awards ceremony. The Adapter, powered by Quicksilva’s conneQt® integration service, was a finalist in the Best Use of IT to Support Integrated Healthcare Services category.

A champagne reception gave way to a sumptuous meal. Waistbands got tighter and cheers got louder as ‘Pointless’ host and BBC darling Alexander Armstrong (not short of a medical joke) announced the prize winners throughout the course of the evening.

Quicksilva’s Business Development Director, Gary McKenzie said:

“It was clear to see from the emotion on the faces of the winners that we were among peers who share our desire to get things done and to drive progress in a field with so many hurdles to negotiate. We all feel privileged to be recognised as one of these top players and it was an all-round fantastic evening.”

Unfortunately there was no silverware for the London Adapter team this time, losing out in our category to awards overall 2015 winner, The Connecting Care Partnership. Business Development Manager, Bonnie Thomas said:

“Of course we would have loved to have scooped the category prize, but if we were going to lose out, it softens the blow that it was to the overall Awards winner. We are just thrilled that all of our hard work and that of our HSCIC and Social Care partners was recognised in this way…and we definitely felt like winners on the dance floor. ”

As the awards ceremony came to a close, the team took the opportunity to catch up with friends in the industry and the braver individuals hit the dance floor (photographic evidence has been destroyed).

It’s fair to say that the Business Development corner of the office was rather subdued on Friday morning – a sure sign of a good night. With plenty of exciting projects in the pipeline, the Quicksilva Team are looking forward to a repeat performance in 2016.
